Almost by mistake Canon turned the film making industry on its head with the introduction of the 5D Mark II. The Mark III is the updated version with longer clip times, slightly higher photo size and on screen VU meters. The incredibly large sensor gives you amazing detail, and the interchangeable lenses combined with the low light sensitivity makes shooting in existing light a breeze. The down side is the form factor, which requires you to use a rig (see Red Rock DSLR Indie rig), and there’s only a mini plug in for audio. Most people uses external audio recording like a Zoom H4n. Never-the_less people are cranking out some great looking stuff on DSLR's and this is the one they want!
